The Veerni team consists of the medical team with a doctor and 2 nurses, a social team with a social scientist and a field worker and a nutrition team with a nutritionist and fieldworker. In the office Veerni employs a project manager, accountant, office manager, office assistant, sewing teacher and 2 drivers.
In addition Veerni employs both male and female local health promoters. As men are still the main decision makers in these rural areas, the importance of involving them through lectures and discussions is paramount. Male promoters play a significant role in these educational programs. Interactive village participation is the key to Veerni's success. Its grassroots approach provides a comprehensive health, social and educational outreach that makes a sustainable difference in the lives of the villagers.
